World Peace Partners Objectives

 

  1. Winnipeg and other communities in Rotary District 5550 become communities committed to improving positive and negative peace measures in perpetuity;
  2. Achieving Rotary International Peace Centre recognition with a focus on Global Indigenous Studies in collaboration with four Winnipeg Universities led by the University of Manitoba and also involving the Canadian Museum for Human Rights;
  3. Advancing UNESCO aspirational goals for the UNESCO Associated Schools Network Project locally, nationally and internationally by means of a cross-border grass roots project with a view to Winnipeg, Rotary District 5550 and Canada becoming a World leader in this kind of education;
  4. Having Winnipeg and other Rotary District 5550 communities recognized as an example of best practices and continuous improvement towards advancing human rights, positive and negative peace measures, social justice and compassionate action involving the grass roots, institutions, governments and sacred and secular groups working together.
